Our Focus Areas
WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Critical Infrastructure Project
We emphasize remoteness and a lack of essential government infrastructure when partnering with communities. We rebuilds and supports critical infrastructure, such as elementary schools, ensuring children have a quality and safe learning environment. With the help of communities, we dig water wells and install surface pumps to provide clean water thus reducing the risk of waterborne diseases that disproportionately affect young children. We eases the burden on women and children who often bear the responsibility of fetching water, sparing them long, strenuous walks. This improvement not only frees up time and energy for women to engage in other productive activities but also enhances their safety and well-being. We work in three villages (Ampamoloandraimbelo, Analatsifaka, and Andriapotsy) in Bongolava Region , Madagascar.
Climate Actions
The Andriapotsy region, located east of Bongolava, is a remote area facing severe environmental degradation due to deforestation and soil erosion. Local communities have committed to dedicating about 40% of their land for forest and landscape restoration, aiming to restore ecological balance and provide sustainable wood resources for energy and construction.
Through this program we hope to:
• Secure Land Tenure, especially for women, who play a critical role in resource management.
• Investment in tree plantations for the future and support reforestation to meet needs for energy, construction, and work toward fire management.
This initiative benefits local communities, especially immigrant farmers, by promoting sustainable resource use. We are deploying mechanized tools such as powered earth augers to have the maximum impact in a short time for efficiency. We use UAV technology to provide precise mapping, enabling targeted reforestation efforts and supporting local tourism through the region’s unique topography and landscape.
